    DIY Aluminium Free Deodorant: Natural Homemade Deodorant

    As part of changing my lifestyle to healthier one, I have decided to change my deodorant to an organic natural homemade deodorant. Today we will make a different kind of recipes; it is a beauty recipe. We will make an aluminium free Deodorant.

    Why using organic homemade deodorant?

    Commercial deodorant fill with a huge amount of chemical substances. These substances, like aluminium, parabens and others, are harmful to the human body. It may cause diseases like Alzheimer and breast cancer.

    So, I decided to stay safe away from these things and make my own deodorant. The natural deodorant will not stop you from sweating, but it will control the sweating odor.

    What ingredients do you need to make this natural deodorant?

    I have tried to make the deodorant more than once by using the common ingredients for making deodorant. Finally, I have found the best formula for the natural homemade deodorant. Make sure you have the below ingredients in your kitchen.

    • Shea butter
    • Coconut oil
    • Arrowroot starch
    • Baking soda
    • Essential oil

    All the measurements are in the recipe box.

    Natural Homemade Deodorant

    How to make a natural homemade deodorant?

    • Pour boiling water in a big bowl and set it aside.
    • Then, in another small bowl, add shea butter and coconut oil.
    • After that, add the small bowl inside the big bowl which has the boiling water in it.
    • Make sure the boiling water surrounding the small one and not overflow it.
    • After that, stir till the shea butter and the coconut oil melt.
    • After that, remove the bowl with the boiling water.
    • Then, add the arrowroot starch and baking soda to the melted mixture and stir.
    • Add the essential oil and stir.
    • Then, pour the homemade deodorant in a 75 g jar and leave it to cool.
    • Put the homemade deodorant in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

    Tips and suggestions for better aluminium free deodorant:

    • Baking soda some time irritate the skin. So, I used only a very small amount of it in this recipe. That makes the natural homemade deodorant recipe suitable for any skin, even the sensitive.
    • I have used 15 drop of lavender oil and 5 drops of tea tree oil in making this natural deodorant recipe.
    • This natural deodorant tends to melt a little bit in hot weather. So, if you live in hot weather, keep it in a cool place or the refrigerator.
    • I recommend giving your body time to adapt to the new natural homemade deodorant. So, make the change gradually.

    Why using these ingredients for making aluminium free deodorant:

    Shea butter: Shea butter is well known by moisturizes dry skin, relief itchy skin and reduces skin inflammation

    Coconut oil: It hydrates the skin, helps in improving skin elasticity, and it has anti-oxidants.

    Arrowroot starch: I used it to thicken the mixture.

    Baking soda: help in making the sweat odorless by making the sweat odores less acidic.

    
     

    Essential oil: I use lavender oil for giving a pleasant smell, and tea tree oil because of its antibacterial property. It helps in controlling underarm odor.

    • Then, pour the homemade deodorant in a 75 g jar and leave it to cool.
    • Put the homemade deodorant for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

    Although, all the ingredients I used in making this organic natural homemade deodorant are natural, but if you feel any kind of skin irritation, stop using the deodorant.

      Have you ever tried Primal Pit Paste? It seems pretty close to this recipe and don't have to take time to make yourself.
