    Italian Cheesy Zucchini Bake

    Italian cheesy zucchini bake recipe is an easy low-carb and keto-friendly dish. It is made with Zucchini, cheese, cream, butter and spices.

    If you don’t like zucchini, you will be surprised by how tasty and super delicious this recipe is.

    It is suitable as a vegetarian meal or a side dish in lunch or dinner. Also, it is a fantastic way of making children eat zucchini.

    Ingredients Italian Cheesy Zucchini Bake

    • Zucchini, sliced
    • Heavy cream
    • Eggs
    • Garlic cloves
    • Cheddar cheese
    • Mozzarella cheese
    • Butter
    • Fresh parsley

    • Black pepper
    • Red pepper flacks
    • Onion powder

    How to make Italian Cheesy Zucchini Bake

    1. First, slice up 4 medium-size zucchini.
    2. In a bowl mix eggs, heavy cream, garlic and all the spices.
    3. After that, butter up a baking dish and put the zucchini slices inside of it. 
    4. Then, sprinkle the zucchini slices with some salt and black pepper.
    5. Also, add pieces of butter over the zucchini.
    6. Add ½ of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese over zucchini. 
    7. Then, pour the heavy cream and egg mixture over zucchini.
    8. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 210˚C.
    9. Then, bake for 30 minutes or until zucchini is cooked.
    10. After that, remove the cheesy zucchini from the oven and sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over zucchini.
    11. Then, bake again for 20 minutes.
    12. Remove cheesy zucchini from the oven and let it cool down.
    13. Finally, garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

    Tips and suggestions:

    • You can add some pre-cooked minced beef; it will work so good. I have tried it before, and it was so delicious.
    • Don’t overcook zucchini keep it firm.
    • You can add any preferable spices like dry basil or Italian seasoning.
    • Also, you can lower the calories of this recipe by using light cheddar cheese.

    How to store a cheesy zucchini recipe

    You can keep the leftovers in a well-closed container in the fridge for the next day. However, if you want to keep it over one day, freeze it.

    Ingredients
