    This old fashioned stuffed green pepper recipe is an easy, healthy, and tasty meal. Crunchy bell pepper stuffed with beef and topped with cheese.

    So, what to serve with this stuffed green pepper dish?. A green salad or any other salad you prefer will go so well with this recipe. You can also serve this dish with grilled chicken or steak.

    Ingredients for this recipe

    ingredients
    • 7 medium green peppers washed
    • 2 medium onion
    • 750g minced beef
    • 1 teaspoon basil
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    •  ½ teaspoon dry ginger
    • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
    • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce

    How to Make Old Fashioned Stuffed Green Peppers

    1- Start with cutting out the tops of the green peppers and discard seeds.

    2- Then, in a small pot, add the minced onion, beef and all the spices (salt, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, basil). Also, add some water and leave the beef to cook.

    3- Before the beef is fully cooked, add the tomato sauce.

    4- After that, place the green pepper in an oven dish.

    5- Now, stuff the green pepper with the first layer of cooked beef, then add the second layer of mozzarella cheese.

    6- Then, third layer beef and the fourth layer mozzarella cheese.

    7- Repeat that in the 7 green peppers.

    8- After that, bake at 210 C for 30 minutes.

    How to reheat the stuffed green pepper

    It is better to place it in a microwave safe plate and microwave for 2 minutes. If you want to use the oven, place the green pepper in an oven dish and cover the pepper with foil, then reheat for 20 minutes.

    Tips:

    • In this recipe, the peppers are a bit crunchy, but, if you like it soft, boil the peppers before stuffing.
    • If you prefer to add some other spices to the beef, go ahead.
