Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180c / 350f.
In a baking pan, mix together blackberries, apple slices and caster sugar.
500 g Blackberries,
2 Apples,
1 tablespoon Golden Caster Sugar
In a mixing bowl, mix together plain flour, brown sugar, oats, and melted butter until crumbles form.
125 g Plain Flour,
125 g Oats,
150 g Light Brown Sugar,
125 g Butter
Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top of the blackberries mixture and bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until golden and crispy.
Notes
Sprinkling the crumbles by hand is a better option as compared to using spoons, as it ensures that the crumbles evenly cover everything.
Do not cut the apples too small so that their shape is retained when baking. Quarters or large slices are the best way to go.
