These simple fork biscuits are soft, buttery, and incredibly easy to make. You only need 3 ingredients and less than 20 minutes to prepare them. They are perfect for a snack with a cup of tea, and kids ADORE them.
Preheat your oven to 180C / 356F and line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
Whisk butter and sugar together until creamy.
100 g butter, 50 g caster sugar
Stir in the flour until combined.
150 g self raising flour
Roll small balls of dough (about a teaspoon) and place them on the baking tray, leaving space between them.
Now, dip a fork in cold water and then press down on each ball, making an imprint.
Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Before you begin prepping the dough, take out the butter from the fridge and set it on the counter for a couple of hours. This will ensure that the butter is at room temperature and will easily mix with the caster sugar.
I don't recommend using granulated sugar at all. Actually, they very first time I made these cookies, I used granulated sugar, and the cookies turned out grainy.
