Homemade Oat and Honey Granola Bars (Easy & Chewy)
Homemade Oat and Honey Granola Bars are quick and easy recipe. They made with oats, butter, honey, almond, and cranberries. These Honey Granola Bars are sweet, chewy, and super healthy.
In a mixing bowl, combine oats, cranberries, coconut, sliced almonds, and salt.
In a saucepan, add butter, honey, and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts and bring the mixture to a boil. Then lower the heat and stir vigor
Pour the butter mixture over the oat mixture and mix well until all the dry ingredients are coated well with the butter mixture.
Distribute the mixture in the pan, use your hands to press the mixture down firmly, then cover the pan and put in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
Take the pan out of the fridge, cut it into bars, and serve.
Notes
Make sure to press down the oat mixture very well before baking by using your hands or something like a measuring cup. This will help the bars to hold their shape after cutting them.
Feel free to toss in your favourite nuts and seeds.
Make these Oats and Honey Granola Bars extra sweet by adding some chocolate chips.
I recommend using quick-cooking oats in making this recipe because it gives the bars a better texture than if you used an old fashion rolled oats.
You can replace cranberries with raisins if you like.
Don't forget to line the pan with parchment paper. This will help the bars come out easily from the pan.
Put the pan in the fridge or freezer for at least an hour prior to cutting into bars so the bars hold their shape.
You can give these Oat and Honey Granola Bars a lovely flavour by adding ½ tablespoon of cinnamon to it if you love cinnamon flavour.
Add a tablespoon of peanut butter or any nut butter for extra flavour.
You can also add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or maple syrup.
