Heat oven to 190°C. Spread the fresh blackberry in a 20x22 baking pan.
4 cups fresh blackberries
In a mixing bowl, rub the butter into the cake mix until the crumbles form.
1 box yellow cake mix, ½ cup unsalted butter
Now sprinkle the mixture evenly on top of the blackberry.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.

You can use frozen berries in this recipe if you cannot get your hands on fresh ones. Just make sure that you use them without thawing. Thawing causes the berries to go mushy and ruins the consistency of your dish.
Mix the batter gently. This will give you a very moist and tender Cobbler.
Make sure that you pat the Blackberries dry after you rinse them.
Make sure that you eliminate all the lumps from the batter by mixing well before you bake it. You should have a fine crumbs texture. For this, rub the mixture through your fingers until you get the desired consistency.
It is important that the butter and Yellow Cake Mix are combined well in a crumble texture before you add blackberries to it.
Some Variations
Instead of blackberries, you can use other berries of your choice like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or even peaches.
You can go for a combination of berries for a frenzy of delightfully mixed-up flavours. Fruits like apricots, sweet cherries, apples, bananas, and pears also go well with the blackberries.
Cover the berries mixture with a sweet biscuit topping and then bake it. This will give you a delicious drop biscuit cobbler.
You can roll the blackberries in sugar before you add them. This will give you a sweeter flavour.
Instead of the Yellow Cake Mix, you can use regular pie crust strips. This will give you a different texture and taste, of course, but it is definitely an equally tasty variant.
To Store: If there is some leftover Cobbler (which is quite surprising, by the way!), it can simply be covered and stored at room temperature. It is sure to last for up to three days. Just keep it away from sunlight and make sure it is loosely covered to avoid moisture formation.
