Incredibly juicy, flavorful and crunchy Italian-style salad! This tomato and onion salad is my go-to super quick and easy side dish that goes well with almost anything.
Wash and chop the tomatoes and onions to the desired size (I prefer wedge-shaped slices) and finely dice the garlic so it is barely noticeable in the salad.
6 tomatoes, 1 large red onion, 2 cloves garlic
Once all the fresh ingredients are washed and chopped, you can add them to a mixing bowl.
Now add the dressing in the same bowl, I mean balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and dried oregano. Finally, add a little Kosher salt as per your liking.
3 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, ½ teaspoon salt
Toss all the ingredients in the mixing bowl until all the flavors are well-mingled among each other.
Notes
When I shop for tomatoes, I pick the ripe and plump ones. However, they should still feel tight to the hand and not mushy.
