fresh blackberries

sugar

lemon juice
Instructions
In a saucepan, add the blackberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10β15 minutes, until the berries are soft.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and mash the berries with a potato masher.
Allow the mixture to cool for 10β15 minutes, then pour it through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean jar.
Let it cool completely, then store it in the fridge.
Notes
Store in a sealed jar and use within about 2 weeks. You can also freeze leftovers in ice cube trays for easy portions.
