Chocolate cherry dump cake is an easy, super delicious dessert made by dumping cherry pie filling, chocolate cake mix and melted butter into a baking pan and baking it to perfection.

cherry pie filling

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180 C / 350 F.
Pour the cherry pie filling into a 20 × 20 cm baking pan.
Add a few drops of vanilla extract (optional), then stir until fully combined. Using a spatula, spread the filling evenly in the pan.
Microwave the butter for about 10 seconds, or until fully melted.
Take your box of cake mix and sprinkle it on top of the cherry pie filling.
Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix, making sure most of it is coated.
Place the baking pan in the preheated oven. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the filling is bubbling and the top is firm.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10-15 minutes.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To reheat, microwave for 20 seconds before serving.
