These Turkish meatballs in tomato sauce recipe is classic and easy meatball recipe; you won't go wrong with it. It is made with well-seasoned ground beef cooked in a delicious tomato sauce.
in a bowl, combine minced onion, garlic, spring onion, chopped parsley, fresh ginger, olive oil, egg, salt, ground black pepper and cayenne pepper. Stir well.
Add the minced beef to the previous mixture and combine well.
Roll the previous mixture into 20 medium-size meatballs.
Then prepare the oven Temperatur on 210C.
Arrange the meatballs in an ovenproof baking tray then bake for 15-20 minutes or until they become golden brown.
In a skillet, heat the tomato sauce.
Add some salt and pepper to the tomato sauce if needed.
Toss the meatballs in the sauce and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
Garnish with some chopped parsley then serve.
Notes
These are oven-baked meatballs; however, you can fry them on a skillet, using a little olive oil.
Be careful not to over bake the meatballs; they will be so dry.
You can replace the cayenne pepper with chilli flakes.
Leftovers of these homemade meatballs can be refrigerated or frozen easily and reheated when needed.
