Tomato and onion salad is a fresh, light and simple Italian-style salad that’s loaded with flavors. It’s the perfect side dish for summer meals, BBQs, or a quick light lunch.
Wash and chop the tomatoes and onions to the desired size (I prefer wedge-shaped slices) and finely dice the garlic so it is barely noticeable in the salad.Tip: If you prefer a milder taste, thinly slice the onions to reduce their sharp flavor.
Once all the fresh ingredients are washed and chopped, you can add them to a mixing bowl.
Now add the dressing in the same bowl, I mean balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and dried oregano. Finally, add a little Kosher salt as per your liking.
Toss all the ingredients in the mixing bowl until combined.
Notes
Let the salad sit for 10–15 minutes before serving to enhance the flavor.
