Halloween Truffles
I made this recipe from simple ingredients. What I like the most about the recipe is that it is so easy-to-make and kid-friendly; I really had fun making this Halloween treat with my daughter!
This Halloween Oreo truffles recipe is a tried-and-tested one that never fails, and it is a no-bake recipe.
What’s in the Recipe?
Cookies: Crushed cookies are the base of this recipe. I used Oreo.
Milk: It helps bind the cookie crumbles together and adds moisture to them.
Milk chocolate: I like to use milk chocolate because It adds a rich, sweet flavor to my Halloween Mummy Truffles. However, you can use dark chocolate if you want.
Butter: I like to add butter because it add richness and flavour to the truffles.
White chocolate: White chocolate makes the coating for this recipe and has the perfect consistency for drizzling and design.
Candy eyeballs: Are edible candy eyes used for pastry/dessert designs.

How To Make Halloween Mummy Truffles - Step by Step
One: Place the cookies in the food processor and pulse until ground.
Two: Put the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat the chocolate in 30-second intervals until melted.
Tip: You can also melt your chocolate using the stove top; double broilers work best and make it easy for you to melt chocolates.
Three: In a separate bowl, mix in milk followed by melted chocolate, and melted butter.
Four: Combine the liquid mixture with the ground cookies. Makes sure that both are properly combined.
Five: Cover the bowl will plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
Six: Take out the cooled bowl and roll 1 teaspoon of ground cookies into a ball. Place each of the Oreo balls on a flat baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Seven: Cover them with plastic wrap. Put them in the freezer for another 30 minutes.
Eight: Take out the frozen Oreo balls and drip them in the melted chocolate.
Nine: Put them again on a flat baking pan lined with parchment paper. Cover them in plastic and put them back in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Ten: Transfer the rest of the melted white chocolate into a Ziploc bag, cut the corner and drizzle it onto the truffles.
Eleven: Put 2 Candy eyeballs in each ball. You now have Halloween Mummy Truffles!
Pro Tips!
- You can make use of any cookies that you like. Oreo cookies add more sweetness to the recipe, but gluten-free biscuits also are good to use.
- I store these Halloween Mummy Truffles in the fridge. I usually keep them in air-tight container.
