I still have leftover eggnog after making my eggnog cookies. I wanted to try eggnog cake, so I made one.
My eggnog cake is a rich, two-layer holiday cake coated with silky eggnog buttercream and white chocolate. It is perfect for Christmas!

Easy Eggnog Cake Recipe
The texture and flavor of this cake are amazing. The cake is super fluffy and soft, and it has a scrumptious, sweet taste. I am sure you will love it!
The amount of eggnog I use in this recipe is 1 cup for the cake batter and 3 tablespoons for the buttercream.
Also, I forgot to add vanilla extract to the buttercream; however, it turned out so good. Feel free to add vanilla if you want.
I actually loved the buttercream flavor with eggnog better; eggnog gives it a fantastic flavor, and it also pairs so well with the white chocolate topping. It's really a delicious, elegant cake for the holiday season!
I used to make eggnog at home with cream, milk, whipped egg whites, sugar, and cinnamon. It tastes like sweet milk flavored with warm spices.
