Inspired by Starbucks Iced White Chocolate Mocha, I made this incredibly easy recipe with Espresso shot, heavy cream, white chocolate, ice cubes and topped with whipped cream.
Iced White Chocolate Mocha
I love this drink because it is a combination of mild sweetness and a bitter undertone. It is never too sweet nor never too bitter as it sits in the thin line of both flavors in the form of mocha.
There is also a huge bonus in this recipe since the texture is so creamy, and the foamy whipped cream made it even better.
The recipe is a go-to for coffee lovers who are looking for a budget-friendly coffee concoction to make at home.
Ingredients
Note: This is an overview of the ingredients. See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
White Chocolate. I recommend using high quality white chocolate. It will balance out the strong flavor of bitterness that the coffee will contribute.
Espresso. I used brewed Espresso for a strong coffee flavor; If you don't have an Expresso machine, this is totally fine, I've made this recipe so many times with browed coffee before buying my Nespresso machine.
Milk. I used full-fat milk, but you may use any milk of your choice, such as non-dairy milk.
Heavy Cream. Make this recipe even more creamy and rich with heavy cream.
Sugar. I used granulated sugar to sweeten this drink.
Ice. Adding ice cubes is also a good way of drinking your Mocha since it gives a refreshing vibe.
Whipped Cream. Top this recipe with whipping cream and experience an even creamier coffee experience.
How To Make Iced White Chocolate Mocha?
One: In a small pot, heat ⅓ cup of the milk, sugar and white chocolate over medium heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted.
Tip: Make sure that the white chocolate has completely melted before turning off the heat for a smoother texture.
Two: Turn off the heat and stir in the remaining milk, heavy cream and cold coffee.
Three: Pour Mocha over ice and top with whipped cream and scatter some cocoa powder, serve immediately.
Recipe Variations
- Top your drink with marshmallows for a more interesting topping combination of mallows and whipped cream.
- If you would like it, you may add a few drops of vanilla extract. It will add a lovely flavor.
Recipe FAQs
Yes, of course, you can. You just have to make sure that the white chocolate you are using is dairy-free, and that the milk you will be using is plant-based like soy milk and almond milk.
Yes, for sure, you can use decaffeinated coffee. It just means that your White Chocolate Mocha will not be that much of a caffeinated kick to your system.
