This keto banana bread is so soft, moist, tender and has an intense banana flavour. Also, it is sugar-free, thanks to the erythritol, which has no impact on blood sugar. The crunchy walnut and delicious chocolate chips give the low carb banana bread a sweet kick.

    Keto Banana Bread

Preferably, I use real bananas instead of the banana flavour because the later doesn't give a real banana taste. Additionally, bananas give the bread moistness and tenderness.

To Make the Sugar-Free Banana Bread, You Will Need:

Almond flour: For the best result, sift it.
Eggs: Use eggs in room temperature.
Ripe bananas: They have a very sweet taste and easy to mash.
Erythritol: You can use any alternatives like Swerve or Lakanto monk fruit.
Ground cinnamon: It gives a delightful taste and smell to the banana bread.
Baking powder: Using it is essential for rising the bread.
Vanilla extract: A good quality vanilla extract makes a difference in taste.
Butter: It can be either softened or melted.
Chopped walnut: In my opinion, walnuts are the best nuts to use in baking banana bread.
Chocolate chips: Use Sugar free dark chocolate chips.

    Are Bananas Keto-Friendly?

    low carb banana bread

Bananas are high in carbs. So it will not be a keto-friendly if you eat the whole banana loaf pan. In this low carb banana bread recipe, I use two small ripe bananas for the entire banana bread loaf pan. So every slice will have almost a bite of a banana which is not much in carbs. So you can enjoy the real taste of banana and stay on keto diet at the same time.

How to make Keto Banana Bread:

    • In a bowl, add the eggs and vanilla extract then whisk using an electric hand mixer.
    • Then, add the sugar and butter, whisk.
    • Add mashed bananas and continue whisking.
    • After that, add the almond flour, ground cinnamon and baking powder. Continue whisking.
    • Add half of the chopped walnut and chocolate chips, then stir the mixture using a spatula.
    • Line a loaf ban with parchment paper then pour the batter in the loaf ban.
    • Sprinkle the other half of the chopped walnut and chocolate chips on top of the batter.
    • Bake at 210 C for 50 to 55 minutes or until it is entirely baked.
    • Leave the banana bread to cool down completely before slicing it.
