This super delicious keto, almond flour peanut butter mug cake with chocolate chips is the perfect treat for peanut butter lovers.

It is super soft and fluffy with a strong peanut butter flavour, which is combined with the crunchy peanut texture. This incredibly quick and easy recipe takes only 90 seconds in the microwave.

    Keto Peanut Butter Mug Cake

I love making mug cakes because they satisfy my sweet cravings without spending too much time, and this peanut butter mug cake is definitely one of my favorites.

I highly recommend using natural peanut butter with no added oil or sugar. I also love the crunchy more than the smooth one.

    Is Peanut Butter Keto-Friendly?

Yes, natural peanut butter with only one ingredient ( peanuts) with no sugar or oil added is keto-friendly. One tablespoon of natural contains about 2.5 grams of net carbs.

    Ingredients

    recipe Ingredients

Almond flour: I used only ¼ cup almond flour.

Peanut butter: I used natural, crunchy peanut butter.

Baking powder: It helps in making the mug cake fluffy and soft.

Butter: I used unsalted butter; you may substitute it with coconut oil.

Egg: I used just one large egg.

Powdered erythritol: To sweeten my cake a little bite.

Toppings: I topped my cake with some shredded coconut and unsweetened dark chocolate chips.

How To Make Keto Peanut Butter Mug Cake

steps of making the recipe by photos

One: Crack the egg on the mug, then whisk it using a fork or whisker. Add the peanut butter and the melted butter then whisk.

Two: After that, add the almond flour, powdered erythritol and baking powder and keep whisking.

Three: Then, add the chocolate chips and shredded coconut, stir. After that, microwave the mug cake for 90 seconds. Then, serve.

My advice for you is to use a big mug for making this cake because this cake tends to rise quite high while cooking.

Topping Ideas For This Keto Mug Cake

I topped it with some shredded coconut and some chocolate chips. You may top it with anything you like.

Here are some suggestions: top it with whipped cream, or you can sprinkle some powdered erythritol on the top or even some peanut butter sauce for a stronger peanut flavour.

Did you use a pure peanut butter (not sugar or oil added)?
