    Chewy Homemade Oat and Honey Granola Bars are quick and easy to prepare. They are loaded with healthy ingredients such as oats, almond, brown sugar, honey, butter, and dried fruits.

    These Homemade Honey Granola Bars are perfect for an afternoon snacks or a quick breakfast, and they are suitable for the whole family. You can even pack one or two in your kids lunchbox as a dessert after lunch. I assure you your kids will love it.

    These homemade Oat and Honey Granola Bars are a good source of fibre, protein and moderate sweetness. They are even better than those you buy from the store, more flavourful and healthier.

    This is a no bake recipe, so it is so easy and it put together in no time at all; just follow the exact instructions. Also, they can be stored at room temperature or in the fridge for up to 5 days. They are super customizable and freezer friendly.

    Homemade Oat and Honey Granola Bars ingredients:

    • Quick-cooking oats
    • Sliced almonds, You may use peanuts or cashew
    • Shredded unsweetened coconut
    • Honey
    • Light brown sugar
    • Unsalted butter
    • Vanilla extract
    • Salt
    • Dried cranberries, You can use any dried fruit you like

    How to make No Bake Chewy Oat and Honey Granola Bars?

    You don't need to preheat your oven because this is a no bake recipe!

    Line a 20x20 cm baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut, cranberries (or any dried fruit you like), sliced almonds, and salt.

    In a saucepan, add butter, honey, and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts and bring the mixture to a boil. Then lower the heat and stir vigorously for 1-2 minutes then remove from the heat. Add vanilla extract, stir.

    Pour the butter mixture over the oat mixture

    Pour the butter mixture over the oat mixture and mix well until all the dry ingredients are coated well with the butter mixture.

    Distribute the mixture in the pan, use your hands to press the mixture down

    Distribute the mixture in the baking sheet, use your hands to press the mixture down firmly, then cover the pan and put in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

    Take the pan out of the fridge, cut it into bars, and serve.

    Top tips:

    • Make sure to press down the oat mixture very well before baking by using your hands or something like a measuring cup. This will help the bars to hold their shape after cutting them.
    • Feel free to toss in your favourite nuts and seeds.
    • Make these Oats and Honey Granola Bars extra sweet by adding some chocolate chips.
    • I recommend using quick-cooking oats in making this recipe because it gives the bars a better texture than if you used an old fashion rolled oats.
    • You can replace cranberries with raisins if you like.
    • Don't forget to line the pan with parchment paper. This will help the bars come out easily from the pan.
    • Put the pan in the fridge or freezer for at least an hour prior to cutting into bars so the bars hold their shape.
    • You can give these Oat and Honey Granola Bars a lovely flavour by adding ½ tablespoon of cinnamon to it if you love cinnamon flavour.

      Loved these granola bars! I used walnuts instead of almond. And I added 2 tablespoons of peanut butter because I am a big fan of it. They are delicious!

      What I love the most about this recipe is I don't need to bake it. I don't like baking at all. I used rolled oats. Also, I'm not too fond of cranberries, so I replaced them with raisins. Everything was perfect.
