    Pizza Crescent Rolls

These crescent roll appetizers are cheesy, flaky, and loaded with mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, olives, bell pepper, and a delicious pizza sauce. They will be ready in less than 20 minutes.

For extra convenience, I made them vegetarian and didn't include any meat in them.

I like to serve these delicious pizza rolls for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. They can be customized to your liking, kids love them, and they are kid-friendly snacks

This recipe is my favorite way to enjoy pizza in bite-size pieces, and it is so perfect for parties.

    Pizza rolls.

    You'll Need

Crescent dough: I used store-bought crescent dough (keep it in the fridge until needed). You may use a puff pastry sheet instead.

Pizza sauce: Store-bought or homemade. However, choose a thick pizza sauce for better texture.

Dried thyme: Just for extra flavor.

Cheese: I used Mozzarella cheese and Feta cheese.

Bell pepper: Fresh to add some crunchiness.

Green olives: Necessary for the true Italian taste

How To Make How To Make Pizza Crescent Rolls?

Once you have all the components ready, with the vegetables chopped and cheese grated, you can start with the preparation:

    steps of making the recipe

One: Before anything else, preheat the oven to 180C / 350F.

Two: Line a baking pan with baking parchment. Roll out the crescent dough till it is laid out evenly in front of you.

Tip: It is easier to handle this dough while chilled, so if it gets too soft while working, chill it in the fridge for a few minutes.

Three: Mix the pizza sauce, thyme, and salt in a small bowl. then spread out the mixture evenly on top of the crescent dough (leave out about a centimetre at the ends dry.

Four: Sprinkle the mozzarella and feta cheese, bell pepper and olive slices over the layer of sauce we just created.

Tip: Don't overfill the dough with filling to be able to roll it out and prevent the filling from spilling out during baking.

Five: Tightly roll one of the long sides of the dough into a Swiss roll (take your time, and be careful not to spill anything out). Then pinch the edges to seal them well.

Tip: Seal the edges well to ensure the filling stays inside while baking.

Six: After this, you’ll find yourself standing in front of a large unbaked pizza roll. Cut this giant pizza roll evenly into slices about 3 cm thick.

Seven: Put the rolls cut side up on the baking pan before placing them into the oven.

Eight: Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool for 5-10 minutes and serve warm!

What Other Toppings Can I Use?

    • Fresh herbs (coriander, basil or thyme)
    • Pesto
    • Dried herbs (basil, sage or oregano)
    • Canned Tuna
    • Shredded Chicken
    • Olives
    • Cooked ground beef
    • Chilli Peppers
    • Mushrooms

    How To Store And Reheat

I keep them in an air-tight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.

To reheat these mini pizzas, place them in a baking tray and bake at 180C for 5 minutes or until you feel that they are warm enough. You may also reheat them in the microwave or an air-fryer.

Can I Cook These Pizza Rolls In The Air Fryer?

Yes, you can. Cook them in the air fryer at 180C / 350F for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Can You Cook Pizza Rolls From Frozen?

Yes, of course. Set oven to 180C / 350F. Place them onto a baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through completely.
