I love French desserts, like this easy French strawberry tart called tarte aux fraises!
I made it with a buttery pie crust filled with cream cheese and I also topped it with fresh strawberries. It is SUPER rich and perfect for all occasions.
French Strawberry Tart Recipe
This French Strawberry Tart is one of my favorite desserts; let me tell you why: the tart crust is SO buttery and flaky.
Meanwhile, the filling is super creamy and delicious; cream cheese flavored with vanilla, lemon juice, and zest. YUM!
Also this tart is packed with fresh, juicy and sweet strawberries! You can only imagine how delightful this tart is.
You'll Need
Fresh Strawberries. After washing the strawberries, I drain them and slice them lengthwise.
Pie Crust. I used store-bought crust but you can make your own pie crust.
Heavy Cream. Heavy cream goes hand in hand with cream cheese in making the filling.
Cream Cheese. I use Philadelphia cream cheese.
Granulated Sugar
Lemon Juice and Zest. I love to use both lemon juice and zest because they add more depth of flavor.
Vanilla Extract. Just a few drops.

How To Make Easy Strawberry Tart - Step By Step
First Step - Bake the crust: Press the pie crust into an 11" tart pan, trim the edges and then prick all over with a fork; finally, bake for 28-30 minutes or until golden. Let it cool completely on a cooling rack (Photo 1 & 2).
Pro Tip: Grease the bottom of the pie crust with unsalted butter before baking it to avoid the crust sticking to the pan.
Second Step - Whip the heavy cream: In a large bowl, beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form (Photo 3).
Third Step - Whip the cream cheese: In another large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, lemon juice and zest, vanilla and sugar until soft (Photo 4 & 5 & 6).
Forth Step - Now, fold the heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture, then scoop it into the cooled crust (Photo 7 & 8).
Fifth Step - Decorate with fresh strawberries: Starting on the outside, arrange strawberries on top of the tart in a circle until the entire tart is covered (Photo 9).
Pro Tip: Chill this Strawberry Tart in the fridge before serving it to improve its texture and flavor.
How To Serve It
I like to serve this tart alongside my homemade Mac and Cheese, Marmite Pasta, Creamy Paprika Chicken Pasta, or Creamy Tuna Pasta Salad!
You can also just enjoy your tart with homemade Caramel Latte for a snack, and Oat Milk Chocolate for when the weather is cold.
Serve it topped with a scoop of ice cream such as Chocolate Marshmallow Ice Cream or Black Raspberry Ice Cream.
