Incredibly comforting Biscoff Porridge for breakfast loaded with creamy oat goodness and spicy Biscoff spread for a cosy and super simple breakfast.
Biscoff Porridge
I love a warm bowl of Porridge for breakfast, I used to make peanut butter porridge and Nutella porridge for breakfast. However, this Biscoff porridge is my new favorite.
Since Porridge is filling on its own, I don't need to serve anything alongside; just a glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice will still be a complete breakfast.
If you have ever eaten Biscoff cookies, this recipe probably does not require any introduction. The same sweet and spicy flavour.
Without further ado, let’s dive right into the recipe of this Porridge that your family is sure to ask for seconds and even thirds of – it is not even an exaggeration!
Why Does This Recipe Work
- This porridge, being sweet and creamy, is a healthy breakfast for both adults and kids.
- Porridge is a filling breakfast.
- The recipe is extremely quick and easy to make.
- This recipe calls for only 3 main ingredients.
- There is a wide range of options when it comes to topping the Porridge. From tangy to nutty to sweet toppings.
Biscoff Porridge Ingredients
Note: This is an overview of the ingredients. See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.
Biscoff Spread. I use smooth Biscoff Spread.
Rolled Oats. There will be no Porridge without oats. Rolled Oats are the best variety for this recipe because they soak up the liquid pretty well and hold their shape too.
Milk. You can use any milk, but using Cow’s Milk for the recipe will add its subtly sweet flavour. I use full-fat milk to make the Porridge super creamy.
Tip: Use plant-based milk like almond or coconut milk to make this recipe vegan-friendly.
Fresh Strawberries (optional). I LOVE topping my porridge with fresh strawberries to add a delicious fruity flavor to the recipe.
How To Make Biscoff Porridge?
One: Mix oats and milk in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 2-3 minutes, frequently stirring, until the mixture is creamy.
Two: Turn off the heat and stir in the Biscoff spread. Mix well until the Biscoff spread is melted.
Tip: Once the Porridge is taken off from the heat, it starts to thicken. Feel free to add the desired quantity of milk to it at this point to achieve the desired consistency
Three: Transfer the Porridge to a serving bowl, and top it with strawberries and some milk. Drizzle some melted Biscoff on top.
Some Variations
- You can swap out the strawberries for raspberries, blueberries or any fresh fruit you like.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon to the bowl of Porridge; it gives a lovely flavour.
- A hint of honey or maple syrup work wonders by adding subtle flavours to the oats.
- For added crunch and flavour to your porridge, you can top it with sunflower seeds, flax seeds, almonds, pumpkin seeds, pistachios, walnuts, or whatever other kinds of nuts and seeds that your brain can conjure up.
- You can drizzle some chocolate sauce or caramel sauce on top.
Storage
To Store: Pack your oats properly in an airtight container, and they will keep for up to five days in the fridge. If you are the kind of person who is okay with eating something cold for breakfast, you can simply take it out and enjoy your porridge chilled.
Reheating Instructions: Like any other variation of Porridge, this dish thickens upon cooling. Thus, add in more milk before you reheat it in the microwave. Gently reheat the porridge, and you will be ready to roll; you do not need to boil it again.

Delicious and easy to make, I added some honey, though.
