    Mac And Cheese With Ground Beef (One-Pot Recipe)

    This ground beef mac and cheese is a delicious comfort food that is super easy to make! It is loaded with well-seasoned ground beef, healthy veggies, soft pasta and melted cheese, all cooked in one pot.

    Ground Beef Mac And Cheese

    I love mac and cheese, and I usually make this dish every Sunday; however, this time, I decided to add ground beef, peas and kidney beans to enrich my dish.

    I always start making this dish by browning the ground beef, then adding the veggies and dried macaroni and cooking. Finally, I add the cheese and serve! SUPER easy!

    I also seasoned it with paprika, black pepper and onion powder, which added so many flavors.

    That is not everything about this recipe, here is the best part, It's super easy to put together; all you need is one pot and 30 minutes.

    This mac and cheese with ground beef is a delicious and hearty meal that all your family will enjoy; it makes an easy and quick dinner.

    Ingredients

    Note: This is an overview of the ingredients. See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.

    Pasta: I prefer to use small shaped pasta such as Macaroni, Elbow or Shells.

    Ground beef: I use extra lean ground beef.

    Garlic and onion: I used both to flavour the ground beef.

    Tomato sauce: To add flavor, I also added a tiny amount of hot sauce for even more flavor.

    Chicken broth: To cook the pasta in.

    Cheese: I use Mozzarella cheese; however, cheddar also works excellent in this dish.

    Seasonings: I seasoned this dish with paprika, ground black pepper and onion powder.

    Other ingredients: I also added some peas and kidney beans. Note that I used canned kidney beans.

    How To Make Mac And Cheese With Ground Beef?

    One - Prepare The Beef: Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat then add minced garlic and chopped onion. Stir until the onion becomes translucent.

    Two: Add the beef, and occasionally stir until it becomes brown.

    Three - Incorporate The Veggies And Macaroni: Add the dry macaroni, kidney beans, peas, tomato sauce, hot sauce, salt, pepper, paprika and onion powder. Then add the chicken broth.

    Four: Cook for 15-18 minutes or until the macaroni is fully cooked.

    Five - Add The Cheese: Add the mozzarella cheese stir, then add more mozzarella cheese on top, serve hot. Garnish with some chopped parsley.

    Can I Make This One-Pot Dish Using A Slow Cooker?

    Yes, you can definitely make this one-pot recipe in the slow cooker. All you have to do is following the same instructions above and cook for 2-3 hours or until the macaroni is fully cooked, then add the cheese and stir.

    Reheating The Leftovers

    Leftovers can be reheated easily on the stove over a low to medium heat, in the oven at low temperature 170C / 340F for 10 minutes or even two minutes in the microwave.

    Tips and Variations

    • You can also replace beef with chopped chicken breasts.
    • Add some fresh herbs, such as basil, thyme or sage.
    • To make it extra cheesy, add ½ cup cheddar cheese along with mozzarella.
    • If you don't like Kidney beans, you can use chickpeas instead.
    • Add more veggies, such as green beans, spinach or carrot.

    Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 3 cloves garlic , minced
    • 1 onion , chopped
    • 1 cup peas
    • 750 g ground beef
    • 500 g tomato sauce
    • 2 tablespoon hot sauce
    • 400 g canned kidney beans , drained
    • 3 cups beef or chicken broth
    • 350 g macaroni
    • 1 cup mozzarella cheese , shredded
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon ground paprika
    • ½ teaspoon onion powder
    • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon parsley , chopped

    Instructions
