    Ingredients

Plain Flour. Build the foundation and structure of your soft and gooey mug cake by adding plain flour into the mixture. Plain flour is your base dry ingredient.

Baking Powder. This ingredient will allow your mug cake batter to rise and become softer.

Granulated Sugar. Sweeten your mug cake mixture by pouring in the right amount of granulated sugar. Granulated sugar also helps in enhancing the texture of the mug cake.

Milk. Creamy and thick, that will happen to your mug cake once you use milk to mix the dry ingredients.

Oil. Aside from helping the milk in combining the dry ingredients in this recipe, the oil will also assist in producing a moister and more gooey mug cake once it comes out of the microwave.

Oreos. Oreo Mug Cake treats crushed Oreos as a necessary ingredient!

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder. For a mild chocolatey flavor that will accompany and complement the flavor of Oreo cookies, add unsweetened cocoa powder.

Chocolate Chips. Top your already chocolatey mug cake with more chocolatey goodness in the form of chocolate chips.

How To Make Oreo Mug Cake in The Microwave

How to make Oreo microwave mug cake by photos.

One: In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa powder and salt.

Two: Stir in milk and oil until there are no lumps.

Three: Sprinkle on top the chocolate chips and crushed Oreo cookies.

Four: Pour the mixture into a microwave-safe mug, microwave for 1 minute and 40 seconds.

Five: Let cool slightly, then serve!

    Top Tips!

    • Do not even think of trying to use a mug that is not made out of microwave-friendly materials. You will risk your safety by doing so.
    • Measure your flour correctly! Too much flour is equivalent to a hard and dense mug cake, and the texture you are aiming for in this recipe should be soft, thick, and gooey. Too little flour, however, will make this dish almost watery and too soft for anyone’s liking.
    • The amount of milk to be added in this recipe should be just enough to mix the dry ingredients thoroughly. Too much of everything and too little of everything will result in a failed mug cake.
    • You can make this recipe in an oven-safe ramekin.

    Some Variations

    • To make your mug cake thicker, richer, and smoother, you should use whole milk to mix the ingredients. If you are aiming for a lactose-free mug cake, it is best to use non-dairy milk such as soy milk, almond milk and oat milk; the texture, however, will not be as thick and rich.
    • You may use canola oil in this recipe as it does not add any unnecessary taste, and will actually let cocoa powder and Oreo shine in their natural flavors.
    • If you don't like chocolate cake, use golden Oreos.
    • You can top your mug cake with whipped cream before drizzling it with chocolate chips and crushed Oreos.
    • You can also drizzle your mug cake with chocolate syrup.
