Today, I am sharing how to make Oreo Mug Cake in the microwave in just 2 minutes. This is a quick and easy single-serving dessert that is so chocolatey and delicious!
Oreo Mug Cake Recipe
I am a big fan of this incredibly easy and simple Oreo mug cake. The fact that I can make and serve this deliciousness in just 2 minutes makes this recipe ideal for me. Also, the recipe turned out SO GOOD!
Let's talk about the taste and texture of this mug cake. This recipe offers an excellent chocolaty taste, the Oreo and cocoa powder made the dish deep chocolatey.
The texture is just as good as how the mug cake tastes; it is soft, gooey, moist, and thick while oozing with the combined sweetness and chocolatey goodness.
I love to whip the mugs out for a snack in the afternoon while cozying up with my books by the window.
Why I love this Recipe
- Oreo Mug Cakes are super quick and easy to make. You just have to combine the ingredients and then bake them for no longer than two minutes.
- This recipe is budget-friendly.
- Soft, gooey, chocolatey, sweet, the list will go on and on about how good this dish taste.
- This mug cake is perfect for a single-serving dessert.
- You can double or triple this simple recipe if you like.
I love Oreos; I mean, who doesn't? If you are a big fan of Oreo like me, check my other Oreo recipes Oreo Tiramisu and Oreo Cheesecake Bites, they are so delicious as well.
Ingredients
“See the recipe card for full information on ingredients and quantities.”
- All purpose flour. I like to use all purpose flour in all my mug cake recipes.
- Baking Powder. This ingredient will allow your mug cake batter to rise and become softer.
- Granulated Sugar. I use it to sweeten my mug cake.
- Milk. I used whole milk, just to mix the dry ingredients.
- Oil. I used vegetable oil; it helps in producing a moist and soft mug cake.
- Oreos. I used only 5 lightly crushed classic Oreos.
- Cocoa Powder. I prefer to use unsweetened cocoa powder for a deep chocolatey flavor.
- Chocolate Chips. Top your already chocolatey mug cake with more chocolatey goodness in the form of chocolate chips.
Variations & Substitutions
- If you are aiming for a lactose-free mug cake, it is best to use non-dairy milk such as soy milk, almond milk and oat milk.
- Use golden Oreos instead of chocolate ones.
- You can top your mug cake with whipped cream before drizzling it with chocolate chips and crushed Oreos.
- You can also drizzle your mug cake with chocolate syrup.
How To Make Oreo Mug Cake in The Microwave
One, Crush The Oreo Cookies: You can either put them in the food processor and blitz until you reach the desired texture or put them in a ziplock bag and use a rolling pin to crush them to your liking.
Two: In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, cocoa powder, half of the crushed Oreos and salt.
Three: Stir in milk and oil until there are no lumps.
Four: Sprinkle on top the chocolate chips and the rest of the crushed Oreo cookies.
Five: Pour the mixture into a microwave-safe mug, microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Six: Let cool slightly, then serve!
Top Tips!
- Don't forget to use a microwave-safe mug or ramekin.
- Measure your flour correctly! Too much flour is equivalent to a hard and dense mug cake.
Serving Suggestions
I like to serve my mug cake with a scoop of Old Fashioned Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream or Chocolate Marshmallow Ice Cream.
Also, It is so delicious with a cup of Chocolate Bubble Tea or Iced White Chocolate Mocha.
